Andover Warriors Lacrosse, in partnership with Andover Youth Services, is open to boys and girls from Andover in 1st through 8th grade. We encourage the participation of new players regardless of grade, while continuing to provide a quality lacrosse opportunity for the most experienced player.
Our boys teams participate in the Town Pride Lacrosse League with Acton-Boxborough, Cohasset, Concord-Carlisle, Dover-Sherborn, Duxbury, Franklin, Hanover, Hingham, Lincoln-Sudbury, Marshfield, Medfield, Needham, Norwell, Westford, and Winchester. The towns in the league are some of the most well established and competitive programs in Massachusetts and offer the opportunity for new and experienced players to compete at a high level. Games in the TPL are played on Sundays.
Our girls teams participate in the Founders Girls Lacrosse League, North Division. Our girls will play games against teams from North Andover, Newburyport, Masco, Reading, Chelmsford and Ipswich. The FGLL is designed to offer a balanced lacrosse schedule for new and established lacrosse programs. Games are played on Sunday afternoons. At the 5th/6th and 7th/8th Grade levels the Girls program offers Select Teams. Please see further information under the Girls Lacrosse tab under Girls Lacrosse Overview.
The program is always looking for folks to be involved in coaching and other aspects of building a solid lacrosse program for the town of Andover.

We are excited to let you all know that this fall Andover Youth Services will be offering boys lacrosse skill groups for 1st-8th grade! Players will be divided by grade into two groups, 1-4th and 5-8th. They will, of course, be facilitated within the current state guidelines and updated and adapted as the guidelines change.
Our main focus will be a great opportunity to shake the rust off and get your hands, feet, and mind moving again through stick skills, agility drills, and learning lacrosse IQ. This program is a great opportunity if you’re brand new to the sport to get your feet under you and learn the fundamentals. We have a great group of coaches that are dedicated to facilitating a safe, positive, and fun environment in which the players learn. From our perspective, it doesn’t matter if you have been playing lacrosse for 5 years or just picked up a stick yesterday, there is always room for improvement!
Below are the program descriptions as they appear on our website for the two age groups:
Lax is back! In this weekly instructional program, we will provide an opportunity to work on fundamental skills (throwing, catching, ground balls) and basic lacrosse IQ in a fun and positive environment. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been playing for a couple years or it’s your first lacrosse experience, there is always part of your game that needs work. Our top-notch coaching staff will work with young people individually, and in groups, to further refine their skilled aspects of lacrosse.
Open to participants who are in 1st through 4th grade. Participants need full equipment, including a helmet, stick, mouth guard, shoulder and elbow pads and gloves. Please be sure to have cleats and sneakers, as well as refillable water bottle.

We hope you and your families are doing the best you can given the current circumstances. At AYS, we practice being perpetually hopeful and optimistic regardless of the situation. Given the great quantity of unknowns, we were holding out in hope of being able to have a spring lacrosse season. Unfortunately, there are many things out of our control and, with the news of school closures for the remainder of the year, our boys (TPL) and girls (FLL) leagues have cancelled their seasons. We will be processing refunds for participants registered for all AYS spring lacrosse programs which you will see in your mailbox in the form of a check within 2-3 weeks.
We know how excited so many of you were for the spring season – we share your disappointment. However, we will continue to be creative about how we can have some sort of lacrosse once we are able to get together again.
Despite not having a season, and refunds being sent out, AYS and our lacrosse coaches are still here for you. If you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to reach out.
We will continue to work on adding fun content to the Andover Youth Lacrosse instagram. Be sure to give it a follow! @andoveryouthlax
Thinking about each of you during this time. Hope to see you soon.
